Classic massage (in english and dutch also referred to as swedish massage)  mostly consist of sliding, gliding, stroking, kneading, tapping, friction and vibration. This is the most common type of massage and it is known to reduces pain, joint stiffness and osteoarthritis if getting massaged regularly for a period of at least eight weeks.

 The classic massage is commonly used for a back-massage, but can be applied as a whole body massage as well. It works well with many other combinations and many aspects are integrated in massages like the aromatherapy massage.
